EOS "Snapshots"

In the begining of December  i re-programmed our New  Nutcracker. i recorded Snapshot 11 as follows;

record snapshot 11 enter

then i tapped on Monitors, Subs, Direct Selects.

then i believe i hit OK.

at this afternoon Matinee, i was in Q126 (Q127 next), my direct selects were not liked i wanted them. i then proceded to push "Snapshot 11 enter"           No problem until Q127 Go.  When i hit GO          CUE 0.5 executed.  Apparently when you record a Snapshot it holds the PENDING CUE.... Does any one else see a problem with this? Thanks

  • A Snapshot that includes 'Faders' will record the pending cue on any cue stacks loaded. This is because you can obviously recall Snapshots that include loading new Playback Faders, where it is useful to have the cue's loaded and ready for operation.

    I can definitely see a use for having a selection of whether the pending cue is recorded or not, but I can also see the benefit to the current actions.

  • I agree that this 'feature' could have nasty consequences, as you have unfortunately discovered. At the moment though I believe it is by design. Pending cues in playbacks are deliberately stored as part of the Faders Snapshot.

    The way to avoid this is to clear the Master Playback before you record your Snapshot, then re-load your cuelist afterwards.

    Sorry you had to learn the hard way!
