Buggy RFR Question

Working in another venue with someone else's Ion/RFR I've found that their RFR locks up a lot, there are delays in button input (press 1 @ 50 and 30 seconds later it shows up on screen), and sometimes repeated keypresses (1 becomes 111).  I don't seem to have any of these issues with my RFR.  What I'm wondering is- is this a problematic RFR or does this sound more like RF issues?

    I want to say it sounds like a communication issue between the board and the rfr.  Are they using rechargable batteries in their rfr?  I have found on the 2 that we own, that wierd things happen when the rechargables are not holding a charge well anymore.  You may want to try and just replace with standard "AA" batteries.  I would also recommend to their Head Electrician to check the firmware versions for both the rfr and base station to make sure they are the most current version.

    Hi,

    the power of WLAN is important! when i have one point the comunication/connection is very slowly.
    Then you will have the Delays in the reactions with 30seconds or 3x 1 (111).
    Try to optimize your WLAN. We have 2 Points. one in the operatorroom and one at the bridge.
    It´s the same SSID. the RFR/iRFR take the point with more power/connection.
    The RFR´s will move inside the points without a break.

    It´s cool for more distance!
