MIDI control

Hey all!

 

I would like to be able to control a cue list or submaster via midi control.  Basically in the end I would like to be able to send an audio signal to a midi controller which can either bump subs or trigger a cue list to go on the ION.

Does anyone have any experience with this?  Any help would be much appreciated!  Thanks!

    The Ion only accepts Midi Show Control, or MSC, if your Midi device can output this then you are set.  Here is a blurb from the Manual:

    When Ion receives a command from a MIDI source, it will look for and support the following MIDI
    commands in the following ways:
    • Go Runs a cue
    • Stop Pauses a cue
    • Resume Resumes a paused cue
    • Set Controls a submaster, playback, or grandmaster
    • Fire Runs a macro

    Information about MSC is on page 283-285, with configuration information on page 305 of the 1.7 user manual.
