Random Cue on Console Boot

Wondering if anyone else has experienced:

 When my console boots, it bumps to a cue....

Prior to shutting off the board, I type Go to Cue 0 * then Go to Cue OUT *.

As soon as my console finishes booting it bumps into a look.

The display has channels in Magenta, in what looks like a cue.  The cue status does not show that the console is actually in a cue, and when I hit go the cuelist advances to cue one.

  • Um .. yes I have experienced this. 

    We didn't experience this problem all the way through the production period.  At the end of production I made a Q list 2 & 3 for rig checks.  I then found that when we switched the console on, it might jump to a Q in Q list 2 or 3.  We then made sure that we always took Q list 2 & 3 to Goto Cue 0 when finished with them, and Qlist 1 to the first cue, being a home cue 0.1 at the end of the day before switch off.  We only go up to Q98 in our main Q list 1 but the board has booted up into Q98 and also Q78 and Q0.2 in Q list 1.  But has not jumped into Q list 2 or 3 since.  At switch off I took list 1 to Goto Q0 last night and have not yet switched on, so yet to see what happens.

    Different to you though David, the board is showing me which Q it is jumping to.

  • David, we were dealing with the same thing during our first week of shows with the console.  We happened to have Anne and Dennis there and they suggested a Deep Clear.  Once we did that, the "random tracked levels that looked like a cue, but we weren't in a cue" went away.

    You do a deep clear in the maintenance menu of the shell program.  Make sure you save before you do it.  You should be fine!
