Wireless Remote Focus Unit

There's a WRFU for the EOS, but instead of "wireless" its called "radio"

 Just to keep you on your toes.

Note that its difficult to do a lamp check with it so far.... I'm sure that will be improved shortly.

As posted, we do have a wireless remote, which we call the RFR (because we couldn't resist changing the name!).  This device is hardware specifically made for ETC consoles (Congo, Congo Jr, Eos and Ion).  We don't currently have an interface which would allow a user to control Eos from a PDA device like our old WRFU.  

And, David, never fear.  We have just scratched the surface with the RFR software to this point.  We will be making a number of enhancements to it in future releases.

We ordered a remote with our Eos but don't have it yet. Since we are now into this with both feet, not having a remote is really bumming me out.  It sounds like some people have them already. When will we get ours?

The RFR is currently on hold as it didn't match up to expectations - the range simply wasn't good enough. 

    "We released the RFR a few weeks ago (may have been longer ago than that) and then promptly found that it wasn't behaving as nicely as it's other siblings (the RRFU and cRRFU) using the same radio. So, we pulled it and have been in the process of redesigning it to use a better radio. We expect to be testing this newer version very soon and hope to be shipping again in a couple of months. Stay tuned..."

Does this mean that current owners with existing hardware will be upgraded? I am limping along with mine and it has already been swapped out once by the London office?
