We ordered a remote with our Eos but don't have it yet. Since we are now into this with both feet, not having a remote is really bumming me out. It sounds like some people have them already. When will we get ours?
The RFR is currently on hold as it didn't match up to expectations - the range simply wasn't good enough.
"We released the RFR a few weeks ago (may have been longer ago than
that) and then promptly found that it wasn't behaving as nicely as it's
other siblings (the RRFU and cRRFU) using the same radio. So, we pulled
it and have been in the process of redesigning it to use a better
radio. We expect to be testing this newer version very soon and hope to
be shipping again in a couple of months. Stay tuned..."
Does this mean that current owners with existing hardware will be upgraded? I am limping along with mine and it has already been swapped out once by the London office?
Is this still current thinking? Are the RFR's still going to be shipped this month (end of Dec)? It's a real drag not having this yet (or even as wired remote). Good thing the rest of the system is so awesome so far.
Hi Brent. Yes, we are going to replace all of the units we have already shipped. Right now, its looking like Mid-Jan. I know this is not ideal .... and am very sorry. But we really want to make sure we have this nailed before we resume shipping. Am so sorry. As soon as I have a firm date on when the swap out of that hardware will begin - I will post it here.
Yes - mid month February rather........ We are currently performing field tests of a few and it looks promising. When we know for sure we will post a message.
