Visualisers operate in blind mode

Hi,

i'd like to see a feature where the console will continue to output to a visualiser when it is in blind mode. So when we select channels and operate them in blind we can see the movement on an independant visualiser.

This would need to work so that the visualiser receives what is being seen for real when in live mode (listening to the same information being streamed to the dimmers and rig) and when you go to blind mode it will send the visualiser a new stream of information which will be controlled from blind mode, and obviously not go to the real rig! But of course the live stream running underneath blind mode which keeps the real rig working will need to run seperately too.

The result of this should hopefully mean that we can use blind mode more effectively with moving lights. And without putting commercial pressure on you, I have to point out that the Strand Light pallet does do this, so your missing a trick!

Thanks,

James

  • This feature request just came up the other day. Yes I too would like to see it implemented. I am a long time Wysiwyg user and I would love ETC and Cast be in a conversation on how to best work together.

In our conversation we also discussed how strange it was that we cannot have very useful functionality that used to work more than 8 years ago (on a Strand, I admit), on 2019 hard- and software. This hardware doesn't exist anymore, so I cannot use the feature anymore.

I cannot wait to see this feature implemented.
