Ion - patching to Port 2

We just purchased about 40 Chauvet Colorado-tour LED fixtures that I want to patch to Port 2 on my Ion console.  To me the information in the manual is vague and trying to apply what is on the online tutorial in the patch section is not seeming to work.  Well, I haven't made it work yet.  Anyone have a command line example I could look at?

Best regards,

  • First make sure your 2nd DMX output is enabled and you know which universe it is set up to use. This is done from the shell. It doesn't matter what it is set to, as long as it does not conflict with the 1st port or any other output. Let's assume it is '2' for this exercise.

Assuming your first LED is set to address 1 on the fixture, the patch would be 2/1 where 2 is the universe, and 1 is the address of the fixture on that universe.
