Cue List intensity master strangeness

hey all!  I am having 2 separate strangness with cue stacks with the fader set as an intensity master.

First stack is different front light systems  they are all set to be intensity masters.  Once I hit go(first time after board is turned on only) I have to bring the fader all the way up and back down before it will work at all.  Is this right?

Second strangeness is a list of atomic strobes with different fx and rate for each step in the cue.  The fader controls the intensity's again.  When I hit go (only for the first time I hit go on the stack once again) this time the stack assumes it is at full even if the fader is down.  I have to pull up and back down to have it turn off.

For both of these stacks if I go out of the cue and try again they act normally.  Any ideas?

  • see my list of posts "ION multiple cue lists on faders" a few above yours.  Your issues are similar and different.  Actually looks like your strobe issue is the same.

My situation is when I tap the bottom bump (go) with the fader down it turns on intensity full, then I grab it with the fader, bring it to zero, tap the top bump (gotocueout i think) in order to release that cue list and once I do that for every cue list on every fader then when I tap the bottom bump all it does is set the cue in black.  I can then control the intensity with the faders for the rest of the show until the console is shut down and rebooted.  It then resets it back and I have to go through those steps in all my cue lists all over again.

  • Sounds like you are running into the same thing.  Glad I am not the only one!  It is more annoying than anything else accept for the time the console crashed mid show and came back up with the strobes thinking they were at full intensity:(  Hopefully this can be fixed?

  • Hi there.  When did this crash occur?  Did you contact anyone at ETC and send the logs to us?  If not, can I ask that you please take the time to do so in the future?    It would be most helpful.

    Thanks much!

  • Hey Anne,

This was more than a week ago.  I have sent in logs regarding everything and we are all working on figuring the crash out.  Thanks!
