Strike a mover lamp from iRFR

Hello All, Just a quick iRFR question. Is it possible to strike a mover lamp from the iRFR? If not, could it be?! Thanks, Pat

  • Patrick,

The best way to do this is to learn a macro that is the "lamp on" lamp control.

This way you can select the fixture and run the macro to strike the lamp from the iRFR.

I have a set of generic mover macros in our default show file for lamp on, lamp off, reset, shutdown. etc. so that all those functions can be accessed from the RFR.

  • Thanks Todd! I have another one for you! Is it possible to bring up a fixture/scroller combination (patched as a compound fixture) and change scroller frames on the iPad? I am assuming this too might require a macro but not sure where or how to begin. Thanks again, Pat

  • You can access lamp controls on the iRFR thru patch. You have to type in the channel number, then use the wheel to scroll thru the lamp control options (reset, lamp on, lamp off, etc). Then you have to click the wheel to execute the lamp control.

You can change scroller frames on the iRFR by using the ML controls. It works pretty well in my experience.
