ION boots up slow

A couple of questions:

• How are you powering down the console? The soft shutdown via the Browser, or a hard shutdown by holding down the Power button?
• How long is a long time in absolute terms?

I use the soft shutdown.  It takes a good 5 minutes to boot up.

During Bootup, does first a black screen pop up and it sit there before it continues? If so, is there maybe 1-2 lines of text beimg displayed? If so - what is the text?

We have same issue. No box with text. Console has mechanical hard drive, not SSD. I can hear it faintly. Runs fine once booted.

Potentially a failing / full hard drive. Basic trouble shooting would include an off console back up, followed by a deep clear. If that doesn’t do it, recommended to replace the hard drive. You can always email a log in to to service and have them take peak under the digital hood just in case, but dollars to light bulbs a deep clear and or new hard drive will have you fixed up in a jiffy.
