Updates to iRFR available on iTunes

Hi everyone.  You will now find updates to the iRFR - LR, iRFR - BTS and iRFR Preview on iTunes.  This update significantly improves the stability of the connection between the remote and the lighting system.  We are making an additional software change on the Eos side of things in 1.9.11 (releasing next month), but we've already seen tremendous improvement via these Apple app modifications.

Thank you so much!

  • Has anyone noticed a latency between typing in a command, seeing the command appear on the iRFR command line, and seeing the command happen IRL? There are times where I can count to 10 after typing In the command and the lights turning on. The latency times vary in length and frequency. I have also locked up the iRFR. I'm running an iPhone 7 and am using the updated software that was just released for the iRFR.

  • Latency usually has to do with the wireless router/setup of the router. If your router is in bridged mode there may be more network traffic than what it can handle on the wireless side. This would slow down the remote. I would suggest taking the router out of bridged mode if it can be. If you must keep it bridged you may need to upgrade to a more router with more bandwidth on the wireless side.
