Stop an effect on 1 parameter

Not sure which console you are using but here's how I believe I am doing it on the ION:

[Fader Controls] {Stop Effect} 1 Enter

You can view running effects with [Browser] {Effect Status} and that is where you can control rate, size, etc of certain effects running by clicking on that particular effect.

If you want to stop all effects at the same time [Fader Controls] {Stop Effect} Enter

I'm sure there are other ways as well.

Learn something new every day. I'd never tried the method Jeff suggested, but I like it.

Another option to you.

<Channel> {Attribute} [Effect] [Enter]

so to stop the intensity effect on channel one only

<1> {Intens} [Effect] [Enter]

or just to stop color.

<1> {Color} [Effect] [Enter]

This works for specific attributes: Red, Blue, Intens 2, Pan or or whole category: Intensity, Focus, Beam, Color etc...

Jeff this would stop Effect 1 running on all the channels not just channel 1!

To stop the effect just on channel 1 you need to place [Channel 1] {Intensity} before the stop effect command.

I thought you could say [1] [Stop Effect] [1] [Enter] but when trying to enter the seconded 1 it throws up an error, so you just say [1] {Intensity} [Stop Effect] [Enter].

Ben's method works fine and is maybe quicker.

This is the answer I was looking for. Thank you. The way Jeff described it is the correct way to stop the effect on ALL channels that are running it. I knew I was able to do it before but just could not get it!!
