ION cue vs track

Basically what happens to cues when they were all recoreded on the console set at Cue Only then the console is set to Tracking?  Does nothing happen until new cues are recoreded or inserted or does the console start analyzing everything and doing it's marking, tracking, etc automatically?

Sorry, the question is very generic.

  • Hi Jeff,

To add to what Rick has already mentioned... the console is always a move fade console even when in cue only mode, so there is nothing that the console could do when switched between tracking/cue only modes. It is purely an editing function that tells the console whether to only record changes into the specified cue(s) or allow them to track into cues further down the stack. There is no difference in playback when the desk is in either mode.

    Cheers
