Tab control in Ion Offline

I use Tab and the arrow keys to manage tabs on the Ion all the time, but it does not work in the offline mode.

I run the offscreen on a dual-screen Windows 7 machine, with an X-Keys Pro. I would like to have the Playback Status on one screen and the Live Table on the other, but any screen I call up goes to the second screen. I have tried the Tab and arrow keys on the keyboard, and also on the X-Keys, but no luck. I'm running offline version 1.9.5.9.0.13.

  • There is no reason that this shouldn't work. If you use the [Tab] key alone, does it cycle through the open tabs? And if you use the arrow keys in Live table, does the display pan left and right? This is just to prove that the keystrokes are getting through to the application.

This shouldn't affect anything, but updating the console and the Ion to the latest version is probably a good idea, there have been a lot of bug fixes and improvements since 1.9.5.

  • The Tab key works to cycle open tabs in the same screen and the arrow keys work in a wide Blind spreadsheet.

I was going to follow my usual practice of not updating during the creation of a show.  But as it happens, the Ion started cacking on me today, so I am going to update the console and Eos software on the Ion, and the offline software as well.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • I just updated to the latest offline software, and am still unable to move tabs between screens.

  • I'm thinking operator error since this feature has always worked on any console and any version of software I have ever used.

    1. Bring up the tab you want to move by pressing the tab key until the desired tab is visible on the screen.
    2. Hold down the tab key, and while holding the tab key, press the left or right arrow.
    3. Release both keys.

If that fails to work, please describe exactly what you are doing, with which keyboard, and if that keyboard is not the one on the console face, whether the scroll key is enabled
