Hey
I'm currently having a bit of trouble nicely fading two intensity effects into each other.
Currently I have a step based effect on channel 131 Thru 148 doing a nice wave effect from left to right. Its running as a negative step based effect, so most of the channels are at 70% then it runs a wave pattern across the selected lights, taking out one at a time.
Then I want it to fade nicely between that and a kind of fountain chase effect. This is a Linear effect and is essentially working in a kind of positive mode.
The problem is that when moving from one effect to the other I get a nasty blackout between the two. Instead of a nice fade. Despite changing cue times or changing exit/entry attributes for the effects.
I think the main problem is that one is negative and one is essentially positive (although you can't seem to change the attributes for linear effects), but I'm finding it hard to make the linear effect as a step based.
I can nicely fade the effects entering each other if I manually do it from a effect sub bit if I try to do it through playback I get a snap between the two and a blackout. It is as if the second effect is asserting itself.
I'd really like the sequence to be on recorded into playback, and as such tried to see if I could make a macro that would fade subs over time, but I'm not sure that's possible? they seem to snap when ever I give them a time e.g [Sub] [8] [@] [Full] [Sneak] [5] [Enter]
Has anyone come across and solved this problem.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
