Need Profile for GLP X4s

I have six GLP X4S in my plot and cannot find a profile that works for them.  Running ETC ION 2.8.2 build 8 with the fixture library version 2.8.1.2.

I don't need individual pixel control at the fixture, just the usual, pan, tilt, intensity, RGBW, shutter strobe, CTO, Zoom. All of the pre-made profiles have caused my fixtures to be in some kind of perpetual macro effect flashing red and green, with random pan and tilt parameters. I have also tried a few variations and edits of the "normal" mode, and of the "high-res" mode, as suggested by a few forums around the internet. I've consulted the manual, but I can't seem to figure out which parameter is the one causing issues. I might be missing a piece of information, but I feel like I've exhausted most of my practical knowledge. Any advice for how to achieve basic control would be appreciated!

Thanks!

  • Hi all,

Thanks for the replies! After deleting the patch of the fixtures, resetting the modes on the fixtures, and repatching with both the fixture and console in "Normal" mode, I believe I have full control. I didn't get "Hi-Res" mode to ever fully work (if I had more time...), but "Normal" is more than enough for my needs.

At some point in the process I also disabled RDM over the ETC Response nodes that were providing data to the fixtures for an unrelated issue. I don't have any empirical evidence to suggest that this affected the result either negatively or positively.

FYI: there is a feature on these fixtures that prevents pan and tilt if menus are being navigated.
