This is my first eos fixture request!
I am looking for a way to make the new Vision Camera work fully with EOS, which requires 24 bit control channels with 1 DMX address for each of COARSE, FINE, ULTRA FINE position data on the X, Y, Z axes.
I have made an EOS fixture myself, but the moves are choppy because I had to ignore the ULTRA FINE position dmx address on each axis (eos fixture editor only gave option for 16bit control channels).
Do you guys have a special way to make a 24 bit control channel with 3 dmx addresses for a single parameter? Is this something the end user can do in fixture editor?
I'm currently working with version 3.0 nomad at home (V 3.0.0 build 389, Fixture Library 184.108.40.206),
but also need the profile to work on my old ion with V 2.9.1 if possible...

The team has confirmed 24 bit parameters are not supported, but they can create a profile that breaks 24 bit parameters into separate 8 bit coarse and 16 fine/ultra parameters.
i don't know how big the steps of the coarse dmx address are, but depending on dimensions of your model you might want to consider splitting off the coarse one and then mostly use the fine and ultarfine…

Hi, thanks for clarifying Beck and Ueli.
Unfortunately, I can't currently set end-stop dimensions in the program to make it smoothly work without the 24 bit control. What I will probably have to do for this project is record the lighting data on EOS, and then send a separate universe from MA2 just for the vision camera.
Does ETC have plans to implement 24 bit parameters in an upcoming release?
I have submitted the request for the feature but at this time am not aware of future implementation. ETC is always working on new and exciting things, however!
