Elation Platinum Spot 3 (iii) split colors

I had a look at the manual.

it is a bit tricky. First i think you need to be in extended Mode. And than holding Shift should work.

Please give it a try and let us know if it is helping.

If not there should be a little try to adjust the profile.

The DMX-Table is not 100% clear to me.

Meanwhile, did you had a look at the "Special Function" - Channel that is pointed out in the manual?

in EOS they are found under: Form->Macros

The manual says there are (available in ANY mode):

- 0-19 Color & Gobo Change Normal
- 20-29 Color Change to Any Position
- 30-39 Color & Gobo Change to Any Position

Sorry for hopping in the 3rd time.

After having a look at the manual from a couple of other Elation Products i came to the conclusion that they just have a different way of thinking than i have.

i thought that the Ch6 (Fine Color Adj.), having a extra Tableheader meant that it should be an extra function. But writing 16Bit Functions isn't that easy for elation and ALSO for a lot of other manufacturer.

Because 16bit is not realy 8bit+8bit

it is 8Bit: 0-255

or 16Bit: 0-65535

And this was my originaly problem-thought. But i got over it and my final surgestion is:

Please us the Macro Function.

Wow; you’re right. The way they do it is not that intuitive AT ALL. Yes, half colors are available under macros. Thank you!

I wish I had access to these fixtures after this show closes; re-writing this profile would be a great exercise to better learn the profile editor…
