fixture profile for Lightmaxx Vega DOT60 fixture

Hi

I am running EOS version 3.1.5 Build 8.

I would like a fixture profile for the following fixture please.

Lightmaxx Vega DOT 60

16 channel mode

I can't get access to the manual, but I was given this chart by someone who has it working on an Avo console. I tried creating a new profile myself, but cannot get it to work properly. I hope you can help.

  • The Manual is only slightly helping.
But i would think of something like this:

    Lightmaxx Vega DOT 60
    Mode 16 Ch
    DMX-Channel original Name EOS Name
    1 X Pan
2 X Motor move Pan Rotate
    3 X Speed Pan Mspeed
    4 Y Tilt
    5 Y Motor Rotation Tilt Rotate ?
    6 Y Speed Tilt Mspeed
    7 Dimmer Intens
    8 Shutter/Strobe Shutter Strobe (+Strobe Mode)
    9 Red 1 Red
    10 Green 1 Green
    11 Blue 1 Blue
    12 White 1 White
13 R+G+B+W (color div.) Color select / Color Mix
14 LED Autoplay Speed Color Mix Speed
15 X/Y auto Run Position Macros
    16 Speed Mode/Reset Lamp Control

With Pan/Tilt i am realy unsure if they are the right order.
And the Manual is not the best for figuring out what Ch2 and Ch5 are realy doing.

Maybe you figure that out by testing (simply patch 16 Dimmer and test every function) and then deside what you will name them.

  • Thanks. I have tested it on a DMX controller and I can see how each channel works but I can’t seem to “teach” that to the editor. I think it best to begin again with a new fixture profile and use the default DMX values. I’ll see if that works.

  • Well, is X-> pan and Y->Tilt ?

And what are the Motor channels doing (Ch 2 and 5)?
    Please share your knowledge

  • Channel 2 rotates one way up to 50 and the other way above 50.
channel 5 does a tilt swing at various levels.

I can’t get any response from channels 3 or 6 so they obviously only work in conjunction with other channels.

7 is intensity and 8 is strobe so with both of those at full, the next 4 give me RGBW.

I’m happy that I understand most of the important functions but I can’t seem to get them to work in the fixture editor.

    D.

  • Do you have your current Fixture in a seperate and Showfile and can share it that i can have a look what you have done so far?

  • I can put it into a showfile on its own and send it to you. D.

  • That will do it.

  • I attach a showfile as requested. I think it is working for most functions. I had to set the home setting for strobe to 255 to get intensity to work. The pan and tilt are still not working properly. Thank you so much for your help on this. Any further advice would be great.

  • I tried to send the showfile, but it was interpreted as spam, so you probably didn't get it. My Dropbox account has expired, so I can't use that method. thanks to your help, I am almost there. I have set the home setting for strobe to 255 and the colours are working. There is still a problem with pan and tilt, with no response for some values. I'll see if I can get the file to you some other way. Denis

  • You can send it as a Message in the Forum.

What i have seen in your Post way up, the one with the Picture, you should have a look at:

    - are there realy 16Bit parameters involved?
    - The Home values from Pan and Tilt might be at 0° that is DMX127 (not 0)

  • The forum moderators have just restored the post above so you should be able to see it now. I think you are right about the pan and tilt values. I have shut the desk down for the night now, but I will try it in the morning and hopefully that will sort it out. Many thanks for your help. Much appreciated. Denis
