Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • EOS Console Layout on IRFR

For the IRFR iPad app, can there be an option to use the keyboard layout of the Eos console? There could be a toggle between the Eos layout and the current layout in the console. I would find this very useful as I often find myself having a hard time...
  • Model Preview in Fixture Model Physical Data section?

    • Under Review on
It would be nice to have a Model Preview in the Fixture Model area--perhaps incorporated into the Physical Details section. This would save time when searching for a model that is close but not exact--especially if the "Generic" category keeps growing...
  • Magic sheet editing with actual object label

I do a lot of MS editing. Currently, when editing, the lable just displays as "(Label)". It would be very helpful to me to have the actual label display when editing because oftentimes the label is bigger or smaller than the "(Label)" text and I need...
  • Option in Setup or Magic Sheets to allow Magic Sheet Channels' "Link to Color" refer to CP Reference Color and not Channel Color Data. Helpful for CCT Based Palettes.

In Magic Sheet Channels, linking to Target Color used to reference the Color Palette's Reference Color. This was especially helpful for CCT Color Palettes using non-standard color Parameters like CCT, Warm White, Cool White, and other combinations to...
  • PSD Execute -- place macros first

When there are both macro and strings in the PSD Execute column, the macros always come at the end, but unless your strings are very small you will not see them. Since macros are always short in length, consider putting them in front of the strings so...

the ability to input NDI fields and add to pixel maps.
  • Shift + Macro should post the macro keyword to the command line in live, for custom direct select assignment.

Hiya; as the title says, I think that Shift+Macro should insert the [Macro] keyword into the command line, so that you can assign macros as a target to custom direct selects (maybe there are other uses, but this one jumped out to me).
  • PSD Notes for parts

PSD Notes for parts, not just the cue.
  • iRFR Macro Buttons

I would love to see a few assignable macro buttons in the iRFR app on the face panel (when on an iPad) to save some keystrokes. Plus the ability to label them. So I could have one for example that does "@ Full RemDim Sneak Enter"
  • Flash Manual

Similar to when you hit [Shift]+[Full] or [Shift]+[Out], I would enjoy a shortcut that “flashes” all of my manual data back to its background state and then returns it to the previous manual value on release. My intended use is, say you’re editing a...
