Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • Cue List Fader Options Request

I would love to have the following options that could be toggled on or off. * Off at 0 (Releases the cue list when fader is set to 0). * On at Go (Activates cue list when fader is lifted above 0). * Restore to first (On cue list activation, cue...
  • Add in patch copying to part channels

In patch chan 82 part 1 <copy to > chan 82 <part> gives Error: Syntax error I would have expected to be able to duplicate a fixture on a channel.
  • Scene breaks in spreadsheet

Just like the title says. We would really love to see the Scene labels as a little green line (or something) in spreadsheet just like in the PSD. Because we re-focus every light every day, it's critical we know when things are really used and not. Our...
  • Rework +%/-% so you can double-press with manual fade.

I used to use +%/-% quite a bit, but often would double-press to get to the value I wanted. Unfortunately the way it currently operates, the second +% press will add to the value of the fixture mid-fade. For example, Ch 1 starts at 50%, with +% set to...
  • Add a Readonly toggle switch to show file

I'd like to propose a read-only toggle switch function. Why: For higher ed and k-12 situations, we have labs where students start from a base show file on the console. Yes, instructions say the first thing to do is a save as command. Students do not...
  • Ability to power on multi-console system from the Welcome Screen.

We often power up our system from a backup Nomad on the deck. It would be great to have a "Power On Multi-Console System" button directly on the welcome screen, rather than needing to click "Exit" on the "Searching for Master Console" screen to get in...

  • Save to a flash drive macro

I was trying to play around with setting this up, but I couldn't figure out a solution. A flash drive always lives in my console and I would love a macro to save to it like I save to the internal drive. Thanks, Justin
  • Mirror Function in Augment3d Orientation

    • Under Review on
I cant remember if I have requested this one before, I know I have mentioned it in the closed beta. I had a show where Augment3d did not match the real world unit. If the real world unit was correct, augment3d was wrong. This has happened more than...
