Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner.     Hi, I wanted to create a live tab view to show only channels with discrete times. If i hit timing display button or about + time, all live tabs are affected, and it's impossible to let just one tab with times displayed on channels. Maybe it could be better...

    Now that the parameter display could be rearranged, is there a purpose for the tile in the bottom left. Next to "Intensity". Could this be populated with "AllNPs"? That way the AllNPs can be a tile even when the CIA is collapsed. Thanks.

    Hello, it would be convenient to get different augmented snapshots with different augmented visible elements (for exemple, only stage and pipes for the working time, then the whole venue for the show time, or get snapshots for different sets)

  • Getting main Eos settings in OSC

    It would be great for third-party applications to be able to obtain the main general parameters of Eos in OSC, including language and library version. For example, in the same format as the version: eos/get/language and eos/get/library . Thanks!

  • Use native OS file explorer

    I find the file explorer built into EOS to be a bit clunky and to lack the view and sorting features of the native Mac or windows file explorer. Can we have the option to use the built in explorer instead? Thanks!

    It would be great if [About] against a macro will show all usages -- magic sheets, show control, hard keys, Apex target keys, custom direct selects, etc., a good way to help clean up and find otherwise unused macros.

  • Disable Ctrl+Space Back with Alt+g

    The Alt+G spacebar Go disable should also disable Ctrl+spacebar back. If you are doing something such as building a magic sheet and copy/pasting and it’s possible to accidentally hit Ctrl+space when wanting to Ctrl+C/V.
