  • You should ask the government for a Wholehog bailout.
  • I don't think the UK is giving bailout packages yet :p Might be around the corner however.. Especially for how ineffective the US bank bailout was.

I just have a super widget tho.. eventually maybe some wings dp8000's and a hog3 surface.. we shall see how next year turns out.
  • I own a Super Widget, 2 Hog III upgraded widgets, a programming and playback wing. I have placed a about a dozen or so widgets in installs recently -- all churches by the way. I usually loan/rent the single widgets out for a few weeks/months to let the churches decide if they like it. I use super widget and the wings on the shows I design and/or program.

My equipment also includes (2) 17" Elo touch screens, UPS, PC and, gigabit switch, wireless network hub and keyboard with LED backlit keys. I bought the pieces over about two years. I travel with the control rig in a large Pelican case. However, I am currently having a new custom road case made to make travel easier and remove the setup/teardown time with all the cables. Once I get it all put together I will post some pictures back here.

  • We own an iPC with a Linksys WRT54GL to my Asus Eee PC 1000H as remote. Soon also a playback wing and a widget.
  • we just have a single playback wing and a WH3 widget:D
  • I have a 3PC system. It includes, a Super widget, upgraded single widget, timecode widget, programming wing, playback wing, 2 computers--1 laptop and a mac mini (as a backup), 2 17" touchscreens (with a matrox dual head to go--this works great!). Plus keyboard, mouse, switch, as well as wireless router.

Casing the wings and widgets in the High end wing cases and the touchscreens in a new custom roadcase that holds both screens. The mini and laptop travel in my backpack and I am ready to go.

I have done quite a few shows on this sytem and I started with only the single widget running H2PC in 2004 and have grown from there, getting the super widget, timecode widget and the second touchscreen in this past year. I am a fan of the flexibility of the system and it is perfect for any event.

  • 1 dmx widget and 1 super widget.

I like the suggestion of a back lit key board. I will be looking for one of those.
  • Kenneth,

There are several companies out there with backlit LED keyboards. I have one from Deck (www.deckkeyboards.com/index.php) and have been very happy with it. They have several different models to fit your needs.
