One additional remark: Please note that the Backup Sync mode only sends high-level sync commands to the backup. It will synchornize changes to masters and playbacks with the backup, but not each individual button press or level change.
This is for security reasons. In case there is a specific action on the server that cause a problem (or even a crash), it shouldn't affect the backup.
So if you select channels or set levels manually on the server, this won't be mimiced on the backup. However, if you play back recorded data through the crossfade or masters, these actions will be executed on the backup in parallel.
Hi Anders,
I also have a congo jr backing up a snr. and all is good in terms of playback, when I go a cue on the server it goes on the backup but the submasters are not doing that.
Did I miss a step?
I have done this with an eos and ion and the backup tracked every button push, do the congos work differently?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Yes, the Congo backup sync is quite different from the Eos method, due to different traditions. The Congo doesn't sync on a button by button basis. It just syncs the main playback, submaster content/levels and independents for show playback.
I see, But if I push up a submaster with a group or an effect on it, the backup doesn't follow that.
Any suggestions?

Wait wait its fixed but im not sure how it happened.
What I did is the following:
I went into the dock area setup and put my masters at the top of the screen so i can view them there.
Then it worked, the backup reacted to the submaster on the server.
I then removed the masterview dock and it still works, i can now see the channel intensities go up in the live tab of the backup.
Great!!
