Recive sACN-value to SEM-object in Augumented.

Can I receive a 16-bit PAN and TILT value via sACN from a 3rd party system and move a "Scenic Element Movable" in Augmented?

I have a following system that sends out DMX values to a moving head via sACN. I want to take these 16-bit PAN and TILT values into EOS and move a SEM object in Augmented. I asked a question about something else that concerned Z-height.

  • Just to understand the bigger picture here (for me).
You get some external values, maybe from a tracker, to do an auto follow?
Is this what you like to do?

Or why are you want have those sACN values in the Desk/Argumented?

  • I wan´t value from a DMX-controlled camera from our followspotsystem and move a scenic movement element on the stage in Augumented. Then I can do whatever I want.

Since I can do a lot with external OSC, the question is whether you can then do things with incoming DMX on sACN.

Will work on copmapny for our followspot system to also have the ability to send/receive OSC. But can't go ahead yet as we haven't received version 4 yet, so we're stuck with version 3. Since I don't know what new things they've done with version 4.

  • As   already told, incomming sACN is limited.
And is not the best option. Since you need to make your way over a Submaster and only can talk 8-Bit (or one DMX-Address) per entry.

You can try to go with OSC and talk to the X/Y parameters directly.
That is currently your most powerfull option.

I would recomand that (OSC), over using sACN.
And DMX is not an Input Option in the EOS world.
