HyperDeck Ethernet Protocol (TCP) - Sending from EOS.

Hi All, Looking at trying to start and stop a Blackmagic Hyperdeck Recorder.
Problem is it seems to only use TCP. Is there any way to send a TCP Command using HyperDeck Ethernet Protocol (TCP) to this without adding another piece of hardware in between.
I have looked into adding a ESP device on the network to be a translation hub.

Just trying to figure out an easy way to set the recorder to record on Q1 and end of last Q of show - without having to physically push record.

Or is there any roadmap to send TCP messages like the UDP from within EOS?

Cheers.

  • Thanks for the responses.  I saw the AV Bridge you mentioned - and its great - but i was trying not to add another computer to the system.
I ended up coding a simple ESP32 box that takes OSC in and spits out HyperDeck TCP and then gets feedback back and sends back SACN to console for feedback... It seems to work so far in a sim mode - just need to get the Hyperdeck to test now.
