My guess is that you probably had the submaster active when you recorded the cue.  Either delete Q1 and write a new one or simply remove the offending channel from the Q.   As for the effect showing up in Q 55, you probably had the effect running in the background when you wrote the cue . or you may have accidently  recorded over Q 55 when you were recording the 400 series Q.  You can either remove the external link or delete Q 55 and write it again.

I have the board in tracking mode if that helps...but the issue is that even after I delete the channel from Q1 and re-record (using both REC and REC ONLY) and then go back to Q 1 it still pulls up that submaster value.

I have re-recorded the motion light cues only to have their parameters show up in subsequent cues.

I am going to try and set the board in cue only mode to see if that resolves the problem.

As for having the effects running in the background, I always go to my blackout cue and build a new cue from "nothing" on.  But it's almost as if the board is copying information from one cue to the new cues.  For example cue 30 is "the Mob" and it's only my source 4s...cue 55 is "Mob extras" with just motion lights...cue 60 is "Maison" with  a single motion light as back light and some front lights on our catwalk.  Going from 30 to 55 to 60 I get a blend of 55 & 60 even after resetting everything recording them all again!

And then I go to cue 1 after removing the offending channel and it STILL pops on!

Grr...

Remember Q Only mode is an editing only function, it does not affect playback of cues only what happens when you press record. The desk is always a tracking/move fade desk when playing back cues.

Your last comment on getting a blend suggests that what you are seeing is one cue tracking into another and this is how the desk works. You really would be best recording each cue from the previous one. What you are doing by recording each cue from a 'blank' state is only storing the moves in that cue into a later one, this means the lights that were on in an earlier cue don't get a move instruction in that cue and will thus stay on.

Think of each cue storing changes rather than a whole look, so if cue 30 has your source 4s in it, and the next cue is Cue 55, you need to tell those lights to go out in cue 55 otherwise they will stay on.

I am currently having issues with re-recording and the programmers are looking in to it.  If you re-record something I am seeing old data still holding.  May not be the same thing, but worth noting.  

In cue 1 are you recalling a snap shot?  If so was the snap shot recorded with faders?

you might also have the submaster on without it being assigned to a fader. Hit Sub twice and see if any of them in the list are at 100%.  If so, type [Sub] ## [Out] [Enter]  and it should take care of the issue.  For the effects bleeding over, make sure your other cues don't have any external links.  If they do, go into the offending cue, select the fixtures running effects and hit <StopEffect> or [Channel] ## [Effect] [Enter] and re-record the cue.  You may wish to make cue 445 a block cue first so that the tracking starts over there.
