Hi,
I've got a couple of questions about the macro editor- I'm not trying to do anything in particular, more just experimenting to see what can be done on the console / see what I can persuade it to do...
1. Some key presses don't seem to register in the macro editor, either when learning live, or directly editing (E.g. More Softkeys). If I am recording a macro, I'd expect it to post what I'm pressing- when I press 'more softkeys' it shows up in the diagnostic screen as a key press (More_SoftKeys) so why is it not recognised? Similarly with the arrow keys, and I think a few others that I can't remember off the top of my head!
2. Similarly, if I record a macro to open/close the browser ( Displays, Displays), it shows up in the editor as 'Open_Browser', but then doesn't do anything (whichever mode I run it in) when it is run.
3. Following on a little from point 1, I know that it is possible to type into the macro editor when scroll lock is off, however the editor then seems to run typed in commands as individual letters. I.e. If I turn scroll lock off, edit a new macro to say 'Full', this is treated differently than if I were to edit a macro with scroll lock on and press 'F', which automatically turns into a 'Full'. Going back through it with the arrow keys, I can see that my 'proper' command is highlighted in one go, whilst my typed command is highlighted as individual letters. Is there a way to tell the console to treat it as a complete word by means of brackets or something?
Thanks,
Ian
