Issues with existing profiles

I just loaded the most current fixture library on to my Eos and I have found that for the Mac Quantum Profile Extended, the templates depicted for the indexing wheel on the Eos do not match the templates in the fixture. The fixed wheel has pictures now but the indexing wheel don't match the fixture.

Hi Chris -- I took a look at this, and in 10.2.0 build 72, the images match what is shown in the user manual (page 9).

That is really odd. I believe you and I swear this is not a put on. The manual and the fixture agree, but my Eos does not. Fixture is patched correctly, Fixtures are addressed correctly. It looks like I am behind one software version for the Eos. Could that be the problem?

The software version is 2.2.1.9.0.13 and the latest library update is build 72

Note that you must update your console software before updating the library.

Attempting to install a library update for a different version of Eos (either older or newer) can have surprising results, as they are somewhat interdependent.

Have an event running right now but as soon as I am able I will update the console and see if that fixes the problem. I had not even heard that the software was up to version 2.2.1. Still on 2.2.0. Guess I should crawl out from under my rock every once in a while.

Is there an update email list that I could get onto to be notified when updates like that come out or are coming up?

I have updated to 2.2.1, library 10.2.0 build 72, that is the correct manual.

My Eos still is showing the wrong gobo picture/s on the encoder for the entire index wheel.

The interesting addition to this story is I have done the same updates to our Element with the exact same USB sticks used to update the Eos and the Element shows the correct gobo pictures for the indexing wheel. USB sticks have Software update on one stick fixture library on the other.

The Eos functions completely fine as far as control, this is just a little knitpicky thing.

are you trying this on the eos with an older showfile? personalities that have changes in the library will not be updated if you don't explicitly tell the console to, because cues and presets could be changed. go to Patch > Fixtures and arrow down to the quantum. is there an Update Lib softkey spelled in white font?

I did as you asked. And it did have exactly that. I updated the library at that point in that show file but it did not change anything. I then went back into patch and re-patched the fixture with the profile and everything shows up perfectly as it should.

VL 6 C Mode 6 (but I assume all VL 6 B's & C's)

Zoom Range is still a percentage from 0-100% and not degrees.
This would be good to change as you could be swapping them to or from VL2000 or VL2500.

I'm 99% sure the 6's are the same degrees range as the 2000's.
