Effect Submaster "GO" "STOP"

Hi,

I have put my hazer fx onto a sub but am having a real problem with consistent triggering.  I did "learn macro" to get the following:

"subdown" 11

"subup" 11

sub11 @ Full (even though this is extraneous, I feel better with it in)

sub 10 @ full (this controls the haze heat channel)

sub 118 @ full (this is the haze inhibit)

My problem is that "subup/down" is a toggle state and not a proper "GO" or "ON" command.  So if checkout gets run out of sequence, very often the macro to start the haze will actually stop it.

Is there a work around?  Is there a macro soft key that I am missing?  Is there a plan to fix this in future software versions?

Thanks!

  • I just add a OFF SUB # command to the ON macro as the first line. This guarantees the toggle press on the flash button in the macro is actually an ON. Taking this further, I always control the MDG's with macros, even during programming and tech – it means I can bury the subs on high numbered pages and not lose any real estate. It usually means making macros for ON SL, OFF SL, ON SR, OFF SR. -Jason
