Effects question.

I have an ion xe

1)i want to have two lights start at 30%

2)then one of the lights go to 100%

3)then both off for a second

4)then both back to step 1

compleye noob

oh and I probably will need to be able to adjust the timing of how long the light fades up to 100% and how long they both stay off.

  • Would it completely stop the step and move onto the next one or finish the step and at the same time start the next step (assuming the step was say 4, and the dwell time is 1, in time is 1, decay time 1)

  • The step keeps running whilst the next step is running as well

ie if first step is chan 1 in 1 dwell 1 deacy 1 step time 2  100% 0%

    and 2ndt step is chan 2 in 1 dwell 1 deacy 1 step time 2 100% 0%

then chan 1 would fade to full over 1 second,  then wait for 1 second and then chan1 and chan2 would both change with 1 fading out and 2 fading in.  then wait for 1 second and 1 fades up and 2 down at the same time

If the step time was longer than the component ie 4 with in, dwell, decay as 1 then its just going to wait 1 second before starting step 2

You might also set the step time as zero on a steo if you wanted to change 2 things on the fixture at once.

    eg

    step 1  in 2 dwell 0 decay 0 step time 0  FP2 FP1

    step 2 in 2 dwell 0 decay 0 step time 2 100% 0%

So the light moves to focus pallet 2 over 2 seconds, as well as fading up over the same 2 seconds and then goes out and moves back to FP1
