Upon Bootup, the ION Reports a CMOS Battery Failure.
Any thoughts? Is this something that can be replaced easily?
Does the ION need to be sent off to ETC to repair?

Faced the same issue. Talked to one guy, and he said that I could try replacing the battery. The only question left on the table is which one to get if the original one is out of stock everywhere?

The CR2032 battery is super common and can be purchased almost anywhere (even in my local grocery store). Are you concerned about brand? Any major brand (i.e. Duracell, Energizer) will be fine.
Have you looked at this article yet? It explains the version of the CMOS Battery you will find in an Ion.
