Computer not connecting as a Client

I've followed the instruction on the manual of how to connect my Mac to a Ion xe20. They are on the same ip subnet and I can ping both ways each device but when I use client mode, my mac can't find the master console. This is now the 2nd time this has happened to me. Interestingly enough, if I look into setting and just open the augmented 3d tab, I can see the console as a yellow connection. Any thoughts or solutions to this problem?

  • I know this is from a while ago, but I just had a similar issue. Turns out for me it was a mac setting that had been disabled – I'm assuming during an update, as I've used Nomad on my Mac previously.

Settings --> Privacy & Security --> Local Network --> EOS Family Welcome Screen

     Step 1Step 2

Prior to this fix, I could see and ping the console but not connect/sync, and other similar behavior to what you described.
