macro activate submaster

I want to make a macro which activates a bumpbutton of a submaster (like before with the express) I've made the effect and put in on a subfader and works. I also made a macro which activates the bump button of the submaster and put the macro in a cue.

I don't know why the macro is not working when I press the go button. The macro information only gives "SubDown SubUp"

The idea is to start an effect in one cue and 10 cues later deactivate the effect.

  • If I do it according to your method, I can not give the channel with the effect a different fade time. Normally a channel can be given a different fade time than the rest of the channels in the cue. If I give the channel the effect-value I cannot give it a different fade time, I discovered. A pity, because I liked the new method. Now I do it with a 2nd  cuelist with 2 cue's: 1=effect on; 2=effect off. That is also a lot easier than before.

    Thanks Edwin

  • Discrete timings do seem to work for channels running effects. What type of effect are you using?

There are a couple of other options for timing here:

    1) You could place the channels running the effect into a second part of the cue, then give that part a different time.

    2) You can modify the Entry/Exit times of that specific effect. In the effects editor click on the Entry or Exit Time fields and insert the fade in and out times you require. Note this is now the time this effect will use wherever you apply it. To restore to Cue/Sub time just click in the field again and hit Enter.

  • To answer your question: it is a normal step-based effect. But maybe it is because I need to prgram the fade out time in next coming cue. I don't know.

The methodes you advice, i thought of too, but than i have to record a part again or make the effect entry or exit time non-changable.
