How do I keep the encoder display open after update?

I have an Ion Xe, every time I update anything, the encoder display closes and is replaced with the browser. Is there a way to prevent this behavior and always have the encoder display open?

We very much agree that the Encoder Display is a very useful tool. The behavior of Update however is to return either to a collapsed CIA state or to the CIA Favorite. Since it's currently not possible to mark the Encoder Display as favorite I consider the current behavior to be expected. 
 I encourage you to post a feature request.
