Multi console (primary + client) version 3.3.0

Hi All
A perplexing problem. Multi console connection.
Version 3.3.0 2 consoles both updated from the same file. Same language settings.
Things I have checked: ip and subnet address correct, checked multi console in shell on only one Nic on both consoles (ion classic win 7) can ping the primary from client. Can see the primary and the show file on the right hand side of the screen and can press the reconnect button which gives nothing. I have read the document about troubleshooting multi console envrionment. Made sure the primary console was on and running before starting the client.
What have I missed?

If you also have a wifi connection, try to toggle multi-console on that network connection. It shouldn't matter, but it does.

I have connected by the control port (NIC 1) with both consoles. There is a wifi connected to that network we use for remote focusing. The other NIC sends sACN to the LX network. I have followed the trouble shooting article provided by ETC but have still come up empty handed. We have now packed away the 2nd console so it will ne a little while till I can get back to this.
