I believe Remote power on isn't available on EOS (or Ion or Element) only on the RPU and RVI
I realise its only the RPU that you are trying to power on remotely but I'm not certain without trying it out whether this may be affected by the fact the EOS isn't the master.

Here's what it says in the v1.9 supplement:
Remote Power On/Off
In a multi-console system, it is possible to power on and off devices remotely. Remote Power On and Remote Power Off must be enabled on each device before it can receive the power on and off commands. In the ECU go to Settings>Network>Enable Remote Power Off and Enable Remote Power On. The default setting for both is “Disabled”.
Note:
Remote Power On is only available for RVIs and RPUs, not on Eos, Ion, or Element. Remote Power Off will work for RVIs, RPUs, Eos, Ion, and Element.
The Remote Power commands are sent from the browser. The command for Power On is sent from Browser>Network>Power On MultiConsole System, and the command for Power Off is from Browser>Network>Power Off MultiConsole System.
Note:
Only devices that synchronize with the Primary will be available for Remote Power On and Off.
Thanks for your replies, should've read the manual, as always. Cheers.
Running Ion 1.9, and RVI.
Finally have a chance to use the Remote Power On/Off, and I found out that I must manually power on the RVI the first time I hook it up to the Ion, so I can manually select the Ion the RVI needs to find (we have 2 Ions in the building, the RVI swaps back and forth between venues)). Once the link is established, the Remote On works fine.
I would ask that the Remote Off NOT power off the entire system. I'd like to only turn off the RVI, but not the Ion.
Cheers

Andrew, we are working on a adding a higher level of granularity to the shut down procedure. Will be in a future build.
Thanks,

I know this is an old thread but it answered some of my question but poses another one.
Is there anything in the works that would allow a remote power on of the ION board itself? I would love if during techs I could turn everything on/off from the RVI unit on the tech table instead of having to climb up to the booth at the end of each night.
And is there anything in the works where one can do remote power on of the ION board from the aRFR or iRFR? Again it would be very helpful if when I got to the theater I could turn the board on through the app over the network without having to climb up to the booth and then back down to channel check everything.
You can send a Wake on Lan message to the Ion to turn it on.
On another note but related is there anything in the works to allow the Power off Macro to fire for the multiconsole shutdown procedure?
See one of the posts above: Wake-on-LAN doesn't work with the consoles, only RVI's and RPU's.
