2nd monitor on ion

Hi All,

I have an Ion (1.9.2) with two DVI monitors plugged in via a DVI Y-split. I have just changed the monitor arrangement to allow two monitors but cannot get anything on the second monitor. What am I doing wrong.

  • Jon,

First, make sure that nothing is on the monitor by running the mouse back and forth.  While there is no graphic that displays on the second monitor out in the shell, you will be able to get the mouse over there.  Booting into Ion will also display, at the least, a bar across the top of the monitor with the system time.

If the monitor doesn't appear to have signal (in power save mode), go ahead and give your local ETC Tech Services office a call:

  • Hi Hans,

Thanks for that. I have the bar across the top of the 2nd monitor, with the show title and time. How do I now populate this monitor?

    Jon
