2nd monitor on ion

Hi All,

I have an Ion (1.9.2) with two DVI monitors plugged in via a DVI Y-split. I have just changed the monitor arrangement to allow two monitors but cannot get anything on the second monitor. What am I doing wrong.

  • Hi Jon,

if you get a chance, you can download the current v1.9.6 Eos Family Software from our website,

and install it. It adds alot of features and fixes a few bugs also.

Further more, if you are new to Ion, we have tons of tutorials online, which help

you better use the Ion console:

    Have fun!

  • Corey,

I probably should just open a new thread for this, but my question is relative to this discussion.  We have two DVI ports on our ION, and have a strange problem when trying to run two monitors.  The console will randomly determine which monitor is "primary."  More often than not, 1 monitor only will work.  Occasionally, the resolution resets and defaults to 320 x 320, which our monitors don't support, and we get garbage on the screen, and have to reset the console to recover.

Our temporary workaround has been using only 1 monitor - we've seen no problems since doing this, but I miss the workspace and features supported with that second monitor.  ETC replaced our system once due to this behavior, so I'm thinking it has to be the monitor??  We have two Acer x203h monitors attached to our ION.

    Any thoughts??  Thanks!

    Joe Ferguson
