Sorry - I was speaking grandMA. I'm looking for a way to record palettes for moving lights that will apply to any movers of that type that are added to the patch later.
Patch one instance of each fixture you'll be using, then record your palettes using {By Type}.
When you add additional fixtures of the same type later, they will use the default values from the channel you recorded in the By Type palette.
Just be aware that if you re-record the By Type palette and include the new channels in it, the new channel values will be stored as discrete values in the palette and won't apply to all fixtures of that type.
