Live Screen Refresh

Hello,

I have an EOS thats about 3 weeks old, with an RVI. After a few hours with the console on the RVI screens refresh slower and slower, until there's a 30 second to 2 minute delay. There's also a delay on commands entered locally (at the RVI on a QWERTY keyboard) but that delay is not be the same. This delay is removed by rebooting the RVI, the console, or both. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this and knows a solution.

As a related question:

When I save, the time stamp that appears on the saved file on the console is one second after the time stamp that apears on the RVI. Is the file also being saved on the RVI?

Same here. Ours is similar age, and today, the first day of tech, my programmer noticed the same thing. We're not running a hardware RVI, but rather a laptop with the client software and dongle. We're in hour nine now, and the delay seems to be approximately fifteen seconds. It seems to be just display lag, the dimmers and fixtures are responding as they should. Weird.

Yes, just display lag. Wierd and frustrating. I can't help but wonder what its thinking about for those 15 seconds. Not like its rendering radiosity....

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem. We are currently looking into this. It would be a huge help to us if you could send us a couple files from your machines.

From the shell, maintenance, save logs, “EosThreads.txt” and “ConsoleLog.log”

I sent all available save logs to EOS@etcconnect.com last night in relation to a bug that crashes the console when you edit a dimmer curve with flexi channel.
If you would like me to send them to a different address let me know. The email came from david@davidroydesign.com
