Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • Model Export from Augment3d

    This feature seems so crucial to enable co-working between disciplines and allow programmers and designers to interact with ease. I have run into a number of venues who only have Augment3d models of their space, and other design disciplines would benefit...
  • "Music rule" guidelines on cue (PSD) list displays

    • 0 Comments
    This is a simple one, but on a cue list display, it would be useful I think to alternate rows with a light and dark colour (not a contrasty black and white, just light and medium grey, say) so that the eye can easily follow across the screen. A good example...
  • Effect Labels in ESD

  • [Query] {Release}

    Looking for the ability to query channels with a Release instruction in Blind. This would come in very handy for many show file maintenance applications and in Film for multi-set or multi-studio show files. Looking for something as simple as [Query...

    Hej, today I was talking to a Hog-Operator and he brought up Auto-Palettes. I don't miss them that much but sometimes they could come in handy. This was a thing years ago in the forum (there's a post Anne was involded to) but nothing happened since...
  • Ability to power on multi-console system from the Welcome Screen.

    • 0 Comments
    We often power up our system from a backup Nomad on the deck. It would be great to have a "Power On Multi-Console System" button directly on the welcome screen, rather than needing to click "Exit" on the "Searching for Master Console" screen to get in...

  • Labeling More Than One Thing In Macros

    • 0 Comments
    I would love the ability for have a macro that writes a series of targets IE. Pallets, Presets, Groups etc. and can label them without having to go back through each and label individually. I know it has something to do with how the console exits the...
