Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner.     I would like to see Query Params as a new feature. This way you can select all your fixtures by the presence of certain parameters. Example: Query GoboSelect Enter selects all fixture that have a goboselect parameter Query Color Enter...

  • fixture builder: Hz as an "Appended Unit"

    Hello, it would be nice to have in the Fixture Builder, besides Degres and Percent, also Hz as an "Appended Unit". Or an other way to teach Eos the " Appended Unit". yours thilda

    Is there a way to change how sensitive the two finger scroll is for mac users in the main menu section at the bottom of the window. It is so sensitive! Scrolls all the way to bottom with small movements on my trackpad. I have adjusted my trackpad settings...

  • Advance Labels

    Being able to draw labels for your Direct Selections I like how avolites have this function you can draw "band " Vox CS SR ect ect and it saves as a group with the drawing as a icon / ID Tag

  • Have a Magic sheet show an OSC command like "/eos/out/pending/cue/text", but ONLY the label of the cue.

    I would like the option to recall a color from gels applied to dimmers in patch. Magic sheets and color picker can see the color and I would like to have the option to use it in recall and copy to.

  • Effect controls in ML controls

    We have rate and size on the physical encoders, but what about boards that don't have physical encoders? Would be nice to also have rate and size in ML controls so that they could be adjusted more easily.

  • add ability to copy lamp controls from existing fixture in the fixture editor

    When creating a new fixture, I would love to have the ability to copy and paste the lamp controls from an existing fixture. This would be extremely helpful in trying out new modes in existing lights, or new lights in the same product line.

  • Moving a magic sheet number - Snapshot needs to be remade

    When moving a magic sheet (not copying), snapshots that display that magic sheet do not update to point at the new number.
