Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

I think it would be very useful and nice to be able to have a timeline in Eos! Regards Giovanni
  • Audio-in for BPM and Audio track to start/work internal Timecode

Hello Eos Team, I have been collecting inquiries about this for a long time now, especially in recent times. I think that have a TAB to manage various options of BPM it would be very useful and important, also because in some locations they may not...

  • Show Fader Labels on Global fx and Manual faders

    • Planned for Future on
This seems like it's already on someones list, but just in case it's not... since we can label the faders, it would be useful if we could see the label of the faders when a fader is Global fx or Manual time. When busking I usually use several Global fx...
  • Cue Time Fader

A fader like the Manual Time Fader but for cues. This would be like the "Exec Time" fader from MA. There would be an option in cue list settings for a cue list to "listen" to the Fader for timing. Would be useful for busking when you could have a cue...
  • Support for drops

I would like to specify a jpg to be used as a drop. It would look like a curtain in terms of manipulation but show a jpg that would have it's intensity and color modified by the lights shining on it.
  • Make Manual from Effect Data

I would like a way to take data being generated by an effect and make those values manual and be able to store them as a target. A use case example would be using an intensity and/or color effect over a wall of pixels to create an organic pattern...
  • CIE X,Y Virtual Controls on Encoders

It would be really fantastic if it was possible to put the virtual x,y values on encoder wheels so that we could manually input the data instead of clicking until it gets close.
  • Effects assigned to Tempo Master with fractions of timings

    • Planned for Future on

Being able to assign effects to tempo masters. For example I tap on tempo master 1, an int-fx switches light on and off in time, an focus-fx moves in quarter of that time. https://community.etcconnect.com/control_consoles/f/what-s-your-idea/27985/live...
  • Rate Master for Cue lists - higher max value

As the Apex console doesn´t have a rate wheel we would like to use the rate master. Unfortunately the max rate of 200 is not high enough for us. We often have cue times like 60 or 90 seconds. With the max rate of 200 it still takes 30 or 45 seconds...
