Feature and improvement suggestions

Feedback from users like you help us shape and improve Eos for all productions. We receive a large number of feature requests and suggestions from many sources, including this forum. Your comments and votes help us understand which features you’re passionate about, but there are many additional factors which inform development prioritization for any given release.

The most helpful information you can provide us when commenting on issues is how a particular suggestion would help you. If you describe your use-case and how the suggested change would benefit your work, it lets us gain a much deeper understanding of the need behind the suggestion. Suggestions often have an impact on what we work on, even if we ultimately choose not to implement a suggestion exactly as it’s described. Our ultimate goal is to understand what you and all users need and to create solutions that meet those needs. Occasionally, that’ll mean implementing a suggestion as described, but it usually means working to understand the need behind the suggestion and how we can meet that need for as many users as possible.

While we endeavor to update and respond to popular suggestions, the volume we receive means there will be occasions when we can’t provide an update or response in a timely manner. For bugs and show-critical issues, please use our standard forums and support structures: https://www.etcconnect.com/Contact/Technical-Support.aspx

  • Flash Master

I didn't found it in here, but i am sure that i talked a lot about Flash Masters. So here is the request. I would look for a Flash Master in Tab36.
  • Tint Parameter in EOS Is Reversed — Request to Match Film and Manufacturer Standards

I’ve noticed an ongoing inconsistency in how EOS handles the “Tint” parameter compared to long-established film and lighting practices. In most film-style profiles using Color Temperature and Tint , EOS maps full DMX values to magenta and low values ...
  • Additional behaviours when parameter decoder is pressed.

Currently when an encoder is pressed and held, the soft keys MAX, MIN, HOME etc show up. Wondering if it would be useful for when an encoder is pressed, the home key homed that parameter, and +% and - % took it to max / min, and if next / last could...
  • Enhance Temp. List functions

Hello, i love the concept of Temporaly Lists, like trowing a couple of Paletts on to one Fader. But i can't controll the transition Time and if i like to add or delete one position of that list, i can't do it. I need to redo the howl List. In Tab36...
  • Ability to changing the rounding precision of dimensions

    • Planned for Future on
It seems that Augmented by default rounds to two decimal places for dimensions. I know for me, and I suspect many others, we just don't need to be that exact. All that extra text clogs up the screen. I would love the option to be able to set what that...
  • option to keep cues on other faders active when master Go is pressed

I have 5 cue lists that I keep mapped to faders and almost always have more than one cue list running. I switch around which cue list is mapped to the master playback. My problem is that when I load a new cue list to the master playback and hit go...
  • CSV Patch Export More Info (Text Boxes, Gobo, Scroll etc.)

It would be really useful for a CSV Export of Patch to also take information from the Text Boxes, Gobo and also information of which scrolls etc. are assigned. I don't necessarily mean the whole scroll needs to come with the CSV, however just information...
  • Feature Request: Limited Expand Mode

Option to back out of Limited Expand Mode without erasing all Tabs in the Display. I'm frequently working off a 1 Monitor Nomad shuffling a number of Magic Sheets. AND the ability to Macrotize Limited Expand Mode to allow for further programming. Right...
  • "Out" should be Always Absolute

I do a lot of work with Intensity Palettes, and sometimes I accidentally overwrite the data. If the Out command were Always Absolute, it might help prevent that. If I wanted to keep the palette reference, I could use "@ 00" instead.
  • Augment 3d Haze

The Augment 3D Haze is currently very unrealistic (for example the beam, gets brighter the further away it is from origin) The Haze is currently also spread exactly equal throughout the whole model. With the new "Zone" box in Augment 3d, it would be...
