Special Hex Key for LED Array on Selador Vivid-R Classic

Depending on what you zoomed into the silver holes are just part of the PCB board and not hex.

There are 6 screws that attach the boards, and then they are attached with a heat transfer double adhesive tape underneath that is a bity tricky to get the board off, but it is doable.

What are you actually trying to do/fix/repair, scrape, save, borrow, beg steal from?

So I’m attempting to swap out the LED Array board. But I’m not seeing said screws?

I see...you have a later Diode board revision.  The one I had to look at is REV A.  There is a white sticker on that board that has a REV of the circuit board.  Can you tell me what it is?

I still believe it's likely just the double adhesive that is keeping the board in place once you have the other connection points removed.  I'll see if I can track down a newer unit that has the same board tomorrow.

Yep that helped.  So you have these 6 "posts that attached to the board and go through to the base.

Okay, so I have the plexi glass removed, the reflectors removed and it’s just down to the PCB which seems to be glued down. How would you recommend removal?

Please tell me you guys stop using that pasty stuff to glue down the boards…

The sticky pad helps with heat transfer, glad you got it off.

Yeah! Me too. A long kitchen knife did the trick! I’m guessing that the LED lifespan will be dramatically shortened without it? Is there a replacement part number for that sticky pad?
