2.7.3 and Element Face Panel Firmware Upgrade

I have an Element and I applied the 2.7.3 software update, from 2.6.3.  After the reboot it displays a "Firmware updates available" dialog that says the Element Face Panel has 1.1.0.90.0.6 and needs 1.1.9.6.

The Firmware Update Detected Modules screen on the Maintenance tab shows the Element Face Panel entry in red with (Needs Update), but the Upgrade button is not activated when I select that entry.

Is there something I need to do to get the firmware update available for the Face Panel?

Thanks

Bob

  • Hello ETC-Team,

today i encountered a similar thing:

    i updated a Element console from '2.2.0.9.0.96' to '2.7.4 Build 12'.
after the update i also got the 'needs firmware update' message.

so i looked in the Maintenance tab and got this screen:

    Firmware Update / Detected Modules:

for both entry the update button is grayed out / not clickable.
for the 'Gadget/IO Board' the Information to update it with the 'Upgrade I/O Firmware...' button is displayed.

If i try this i get a Dialog..
after some waiting (it shows status information / starts connection...)
i have a drop down with two entries:

    I/O Downloader

i select the one with IO_CARD_v1_4_2_9_0_005.SRC
    and click 'Download'
it  does something - the progress-bar fills up.
eventually it finishes at one point it starts again with detecting.
So i Exit. and Reboot - and back into the Maintenance Tab -
but that seems to not satisfy the Firmware Update Manager.
is there any other place to get a newer file from?

and is the not updateable 'Element Face Panel' normal?
    Product Number is '4330A1120'
(i think this describes the used hardware in the desk..)

looking forward to read from you :-)

    sunny greetings

    stefan

  • I am having the exact same issue with our Element, right down to the pictures you have posted and our board responding in the same way.

  • So you have updated to at least 2.7.4 as advised in this thread?
