cMoS Battery Failure

Upon Bootup, the ION Reports a CMOS Battery Failure.

Any thoughts?  Is this something that can be replaced easily?

Does the ION need to be sent off to ETC to repair?

  • If you're still dealing with the CMOS battery issue, you can totally replace it yourself. It’s a pretty easy fix, and no need to send the ION off for repair. A lot of people mention using the CR2032, but for smaller devices like watches, I’ve found that the SR626SW works really well. If you’re still trying to figure out what to get, the SR626SW equivalent is a solid option I’ve used before in similar situations.
