How long does it take for Carallon to generate a fixture profile?

Thanks, you're very kind but it's quite a complicated profile and it was because I'd already had several unsuccessful attempts myself that I resorted to some professional help from yourselves!

It seems that it's so complicated that even Carallon are somewhat foxed by it after two months - can you imagine how long it would take if you tried to coach someone far less experienced?

We're just going to have to wait for you guys to figure it out.

If theses are what I think they are (searched on the internet) and you set them to ARC3 you can patch them as a generic RGBWA and they should work. There are a few other cyc lights that are out there. that look similar but the profiles are not quite the same. We have ovation F640FC and MyCyc2 that look the same but are a little different in the profiles. 

Depending which profile you want to use it can be hard or not to build a working fixture profile.

I found a generic LED RGBWA which seems to work after a fashion. I patched two of them offset so that one half of each EVO64 is controlled by one channel and the other half by the following one.

I can use the colour picker now though the colours are somewhat adrift; "white" turns out to be quite purple and all the other colours are off too. Attempting to set colour temperatures all come out far too blue which makes them hard to match to incandescents. At least we have some control over them without configuring each DMX address to a separate channel (as in "dimmer" mode).

Thanks for your suggestion. Can't wait to get a native profile for them. I don't know what the turn-round at Carallon is for this kind of thing but it's certainly more than 8 weeks.

It's all modes I'm afraid. I got myself in such a muddle which is why I tried reaching out to ETC. Prolights refused to help.

Since i do not have a Fixture to test, the Profiles are stricktly following the Manual and are made with my best intentions.

So please test them yourself before use.
Let me know if you need something or if something is unclear.

At last I've been able to get on the desk in between programming show work.

There is an oddity which I can't explain at the moment.

Using the same patch (the 2-cell PIX3 profile) on our Ion and Element boards give different colour rendering. On the Element the higher colour temperatures faithfully produce a cool white. Nomad (using Augment3D) does the same. However, on the ION "white" and all the higher colour temperatures render with a very pronounced purple cast - not white at all. Actually, it's the same colour rendering as the generic LED profile we were having to use before you helped us.

The ION's behaviour is most peculiar and I'm trying to understand what might be happening there.

Nevertheless, please accept thanks once again for your expert help and time in creating these personalities.

This is just an idea to look into, not knowing anything specific.

But did you had a look into what color base you are using?

Yes, thanks Matilda. That's one of the things on my list to look at.

By "white" I meant either selecting the "White" colour tile under Standard Colors in the colour picker (ETC use US spelling of course!) or using the "Home" settings for colour and adjusting the colour temperature to any setting - they all have this purple cast on the Ion stage but not on the Element stage.

I also need to check what mode the fixtures are set to in the sky. It's been so long since they were rigged I don't think anyone can remember though they are probably all set at the same thing.
